Geographic Feature: Cape

Description: The word ‘umraih’ is derived from ‘raha’ which means “rest” in English.  According to some citizens, the geographic name of the area is derived from the fact that the cape was once a resting place for a number of lost travelers.  The story says that the weary travelers tired from their long journey, sat and rested in the region. Hence, was termed Umraih.
